Im am trying to fix the pull-starter on this thing here (link provided below) and after dissembling it, I found that the inside of the plastic piece located on the highest part of the lawn mowers engine, which is the plastic piece that the pull cord goes inside of, tiny piece of plastic that one end of the spring attaches to snapped off and thus is why I cant start it.

The issue Is that even on the diagram that plastic part that has like grates almost like a fan would have is not labeled anywhere. And ive searched and cannot even name the part.

I'm not sure exactly what part is broken, maybe a picture of the broken part would help. http://www.mytractorforum.com/44-small-engines-repair/818850-briggs-500e-ohv-push-engine.html. I had one of those engines (I think) with a bad starter because the part the housing bolted to was broken. Does it look like this?
Cannon
inside the plastic there was a little peice of plastic for the coiled spring to latch onto. Since its broke, i cannot increase the tension.

So the pull cord will not feed back, instead it just falls limp on the ground.

so... like i said earlier, its not in the diagram or ANY place. So frustrating.

Sorry for messy email but iim in a rush and on a touchscreen atm.
