My 4502 (F engine) has developed a leak from the fuel shut-off valve. Are there replaceable o-rings or seals on it, or does it need to be replaced as an assembly? I didn't want to take it apart for fear of damaging it since I cant seem to find an assembly.

No o rings, just a rubber gasket with 4 holes in it. Sometimes you can take it apart and reinstall in in a different way and get it to seal. You might be able to find a fuel tank shut off for another model and use parts from it with you shut off lever. All of these plastic tanks with lever shut off use the same parts except for the levers being different shapes.

Thanks! I just took it apart and cleaned it up, and reassembled in a slightly different position. Seems to have cured the leak, but I won't know for sure until it sits over night. I'm in the process of trying to talk my brother in law out of one of his LB's to have a backup for when things like this happen. I do have a lawn tractor, but the engine just has to many cycles for my liking.

Hi! I have also cured external leaks on the factory shut off by installing an extra washer from a donor fuel shut off. As Bill said the rubber washer is universal so keep an eye out on eBay for a cheap sale for a rainy (leaky) day. Bill
