Going to break these up be year, one year per post, and list the model numbers of the walk mowers at least so they can be located via a search.

I don't have '62, '63', or '64, would like to add those if anyone has them! As well as years before or after the '60s.

Note that '60 and '61 are not in color... The other years are!

More to come! I found the '62, '63, and '64 parts catalogs on ebay, but the seller wanted $35 each for them :-/ I shot him an offer of $10 each (shipping included) and he accepted in just a few minutes! They are all full color as well! Once I get them I'll scan and post, and maybe I can talk a moderator into shuffling the posts around so they are all in order! (If that's possible?)

Fantastic!!!! This is just awesome. Thanks so much for sharing. It is really interesting to see all the different type of models they had back then. I have looked through these a couple of times.

Nice.
I have the same pic's but mine start in 1954 and go to 1974 and they are all in colour until 1971
I can post the 54-64 models if you'd like?
DO you have color ones from 60 and 61? I received my '62, '63, '64 catalogs with the color pics, just have had no time to get them scanned. They are all pretty short though.

If you would like to add '54 through '59, and if you have color ones, '60 and '61, that would be awesome!

I was just scanning them and sending them to the computer as a JPEG file, then uploaded them to photobucket in the 800x600 size to upload onto the forum.

My question, since I've not seen one on here, is the 6251 from 1965 with the GREEN engine and tank!? the '66 book, same commercial model number, and the color we are used to.

Lawnboy77, is it the books that are super rare, or just many of the mower models? I remember Bald Guy sharing a few of these pics the last couple years. Haven't seen him around lately :( I think I recall him saying something about the pics on these parts catalogs often came out prior to final production of some of the models, so there were sometimes alterations in the color schemes...

Yeah I was wondering about the green engine and tank model also, never have seen one. To answer your question about which is really rare, these parts catalogues or some of the mowers, I think both are really rare, but I was referring to some of these mowers like the 65 model with the green tank and engine...never seen any of those top drive SP models from 1968 either, seems like the earliest top drives you ever see are the 69 models. I suspect that Lawnboy didn't produce alot of these machines the first year that they came out, they probably wanted to see how the machine would perform and be recieved before they invested too much money into the production...just my 2 cents.

Yeah I miss hearing from the bald one to. These winters are kinda slow here in the walk behind section.

Looks like the first year for the ASA/OPEI triangular decal was 1967, kinda makes sense now though because when I restrored my 1966 model 5234 it really never showed any evidence of having an ASA decal ever installed and I know that in 1964 the certificate of compliance with the ASA for power lawn mowers seal was integrated into the deck general instructions decal. I am working on getting that decal reproduced for my 1964 model restoration. Not having much luck though getting a real accurate one. Life is all about compromise...at least that is what I keep telling myself.

I also now know what I need to to do to make my plain white Cleveland Canvas grass bag to look like a vintage 66 bag, thanks again Jason.

Very interesting...at least to me. Probably not interesting to the folks that are not Lawnboy nuts like us though. LOL
