LA110 Carb Issue

2899 Views 6 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  bigrichard82
Recently, my JD LA110 begin to flood from time to time. Now when I start it, black smoke comes from the engine compartment and it runs very rough (smells very rich). It will begin to run normal after a few minutes, but it still puts out a little black smoke and smells very rich.

I assume this is a carb issue. I am having trouble finding a carb rebuild kit for this model. Can anyone provide some direction?

Have you checked that the choke is being opening properly? Is there a separate choke lever on that model or are the choke and throttle combined into one?

The carb kit should be available from the Deere parts site. Go to jdpc.deere.com, register, then search for model number LA110. Should be under the Engine section, fuel subsection.

Good lord....went to every site except jdpc.deere.com

The choke seems to function properly. The choke and throttle are combined in this model.

Thank you!

That website does not give the option to register, only sign in.
Try jdparts.deere.com
It's under the Sectional index, Fuel and Air, Carb Repair Kit. Spin down to the bottom and you'll see the kit.

That worked, thank you very much!
