I have an old L275 with bad splines on the crankshaft PTO. I use it to power a generator and things are about to fail. How do you guys attach to the front of the crankshaft after the splines and flex shaft fail.
I posted about this problem on the CUT/Kubota forum but think I should have posted here instead. I am new here and not sure if an L275 is considered a Big or CUT tractor.

sponsors here should walk ya thru it--shaft's not that expensive and fairly easy to replace
The flex shaft is distroyed and I have been unable to find a replacement anywhere. This resulted in the fabrication of the solid shaft. However the big problem is that the splines for the output are actually part of the crank, not a bolt on attachment. These splines are almost completely worn out, as well as the splines in the coupling that fits over them. I see no holes in the vibration dampner for bolting on any attachments.
I doubt that I'm the first to come across this situation and wonder how others have solved it. Any ideas will sure give me hope. I have some ideas of my own but history proves that my ideas are not always the best.
Thanks ..... Ken Gardner
