Just thought I'd leave this here, I worked in a L110 this week that had 955 hours on it. ORIGINAL TRANSMiSSION doing fine! Never serviced either. All the steering was worn out, the deck had some issues, and it was rough overall, but the trans was still going. Kohler was good too.

Our old 2003 sold this past fall with 500+ hours. No tranny issues. Drive belt went at around 490 revealing the steering gears were going in the next 1/2hour or so:sidelaugh
Other than upgrading to bearings on the front wheels (major improvement), seat cracked first year along with hood mounting nipples and the steering gears, the thing never let us down. Also one battery in there too. It was always blown off after use to keep the trans/fan clean. My youngest started mowing 4 lawns with it the last 4 years so the hours really went up in a hurry.
It did only mow and mostly flat it's entire career though.
