Let me start by saying: I have never owned a tractor before. But I need one because my yard is a disaster, 5 acres of mess.

So I picked up a tractor: Kubota b7500, 351 hours, snowblower and bush hog for $6K. Seems to be in awesome shape.

To make it really useful for my yard, I need a loader. I don't know where to begin on this. It has the hydraulic controls for the snowblower, so I figure I need just the arms and the bucket(?)

I spoke to local dealer, he quoted me $7500 to add a loader. Too much for me.

So here I am, any suggestion on how to acquire and install a bucket?

Thanks kindly for any advice.

Jack, I did a Google search but only came up with the whole tractor, not just the loader. These Kubotas last a long time, and the odds of getting a loader off of a dead tractor are slim. You could check Craigslist and might eventually find a loader but it may be easier just to sell your tractor and buy one with the loader. I think that finding one with all the attachment parts and controls could take quite awhile.

Thanks for the reply... I have done a million google searches myself. Same result. I actually attempted to sell, but low-ball offers from every direction.

I'm not against purchasing a new loader, but I can't find a list with just cost of the loader components. Every dealer wants to do the install, and I have a mechanic/machine shop to do this for me. Since I have the controls, all I need are the arms and the bucket. Even aftermarket or alternative brand is good.

Imagine my surprise when I read this. I am about to buy a B7510 from a neighbor. It has a FEL that I don't really need. The cost was more than I wanted to spend, but if you want to buy the loader and mounting kit from me, I'll be back down to what I wanted to spend. I'll go over and take some pictures and attach here so you can see it.

NC Old Dude,

I tried replying earlier, but I don't think it got through. If you can post photos of the FEL, that would be great. I don't know if it's also possible to get some up-close shots of how the mounting kit works, that would be excellent. Thanks, and hopefully we can work out a deal.

OK, I'll be the first to say it. Buy ANOTHER tractor with a loader already on it! If you're around here much you already know it's your destiny to acquire as many tractors as possible. Seriously, it is nice to have a couple of tractors with different attachments.
