My speed change pedal on my 2003 is slow to return to nuetral. Removed the damper but still slow. Any ideas how to fix.

I've seen a couple like this over on OTT; try giving your pedal shaft a shot of grease. On mine, there's a flap in the floorboards that lifts to reveal the zerk fitting.

Make sure to give it enough to displace the old stuff.

Ditto on the fresh grease. If that doesn't help pull off the mower deck, climb under, and visually inspect the entire linkage to make sure foreign debris hasn't lodged itself in there somewhere.
