Had the typical flywheel magnets issue with my 5665. I used a common small-part pickup magnet from the autoparts store to determine proper N-S-N polarity of the magnets. There are no markings on the magnets save for which side is facing you.

Mine has two red stripes on the magnets.

TO me it seems like each magnet is strangly magnetized.

The middle is where one pole is at and the ends are the opposite magnetic pole.

So what I have is 2 sets of 3 magnets each.

One set of magnets is:

N-S-N

The other set is
S-N-S

The magnetic field seems to be strongest when the magnets are in the following configuration.

[N-S-N] [S-N-S] [N-S-N] .... Each magnet is in brackets.
