Just got a K301 started on a Cub 127--latest project tractor. In cleaning out the carb. (older Walbro) I noticed that the upper hole for the throttle shaft--the shaft that the butterfly valve attaches to--is worn oversize.

Is there a repair kit for this (possibly a bushing)? If not, how is this issue generally handled? I had thought of filling the hole in with JB or epoxy, and then redrilling it to the correct size, but I'm not confident this would be a permanent repair.

Advice welcome!

Thanks for the link--the guy really has a lot of good info posted.

In regards to a Kohler repair kit, it looks like there are four different throttle shaft repair kits available. They all look the same, Kohler #25 757 -14, -15, -16, and -17.

One site had two different kits listed for the K301--is anyone familiar with these and what is supposed to fit what?

I have the service manual (PDF) for the K-series, which lists the procedure for installing the kit, but doesn't show the application guide.
