My kohler k-241 is in dismay. I pulled the govenor off and adjusted the valves, when I put it back on I started running 8,000 RPM. :Stop:!!! So I took out the old shop manual and adjusted it the way they said and no dice, I even did the opposite and it still didn't work. I called a guy and he said the hole engine was going to have to be torn down and the govenor gear was going to have to be replaced, I really, really don't want to do that. Does anyone disagree with this guy, is there anything I can do to avoid this disaster.
