Freshly rebuilt carb on my WH Raider 10. Runs great, but bogs when opening up the throttle. Once it comes out of the bog it runs fine, but would like for it to throttle up normally.

Could this be a float adjustment issue?

Thanks for the help!

Could be a low float level, or main jet either partially plugged or mis-adjusted. Sounds like it's running a tad lean. Most of these carbs don't have accelerator pumps, so sudden acceleration can be a problem.

Since it runs fine once up to speed & it won't cost anything but time to try, fatten up the low speed/idle mixture. That'll give you a smoother transition into the main circuit. Raising the float level will fatten up both circuits, but will be trial & error (more time consuming), & may cause flooding. Larger carbs have an accelerator pump, booster nozzle configuration, or use constant vacuum principles to get around this.

Ignition timing and spark plug gap will also affect acceleration.
