You're gonna love it Hank. Mix it 40:1 and check for complete combustion. Adjust from there if necessary. Welcome to the club.:thThumbsU
I am going to be using it in my M-Series mowers and they are 64:1, and i am still wondering about that mix ratio.
M's run at 64:1? They auto mix so how is that going to work I wonder. Injection isn't adjutable is it?

It is adjustable, to a point.

So far I'm liking this ZX2SR for it's smell and engine cleanliness.

BeNol should work fine at that ratio. Castor has an extremely high film strength. I still need to get some of the Legend stuff to try.
Well you can come to Broken Bow and I will let you use any one of mine to mow my yard.:ROF
Klotz used to offer 2-cycle mixes both with and without nitromethane added back around 1975. I think the little cans with nitro were marketed as "Gold" and the other as "Silver." Great smell in some 3-cylinder Kawasaki 750 cc bikes that I ran at drag strips. The strip inspectors got onto testing for the nitro which wasn't allowed by the class rules in which I generally competed with those bikes. Lighten one of those up, add a 133 horsepower Denco kit, wheelie bar, tie down the front suspension, add a Goodyear slick road racing tire and you were able to run in the 10's all day long. Fun memories.

We tried about every brand of 2-cycle mix then offered. The best times without nitro were consistently produced by some synthetic mix produced by Union Carbide marketed for use in outboards. Just set up two bikes that ran side by side and only change one to the Union Carbide lube and it would pull a couple bike lengths on the other bike before you'd gone a city block. I don't know if that stuff is still available, but it burned really cleanly, but didn't produce the wonderful smells that Klotz did.

This is all probably obsolete information as those experiences are now so dated. But if I had some of that Union Carbide 2-cycle lube now I'd certainly like to try it again.

Actually regular nitromethane doesn't mix well with gasoline, only alcohol/methanol. Nitropropane will mix with gasoline.

This stuff would work though

LoveLearn, I remember my grandpa talking about Union Carbide . He was a huge honda Fan and worked at our Honda dealership here in Grand Rapids Michigan. I have since tried to look up that oil but to no avail.

Hank, I think your going to like that Benol, great stuff. Be careful if you plan to use it in your "freshlube" M's, as Klotz says that Benol is not to be used in oil injection systems, just premix. I'm not sure why they say this, but I don't have any oil injection engines to test that on either.

I used Klotz synthetic oil in my 1972 Kawasaki 500 triple, liked the smell but not the price it sold for $2 a quart. My 500 was thrirsty for it and rear tires were high priced too and wore out really fast on that beast. As a kid of 16 two bucks a quart was a lot when you could buy Castrol or Kendall for fifty cents a qt and gas for about the same per gallon.

I found that the Benol smokes alot if you just use it as the primmary lube, so I started adding 1/2 oz. per gallon to my regular Mobil One synthetic oil just for the smell! Benol has staying power, it takes quite awhile for it to wash out of the engine after you switch over to another oil/fuel mix.
