I have our annual bonfire party coming up in two weeks. So, I wanted something fun for the kids to ride around. This should be fun for them and still be safe. I will take it all apart and paint it to stop rust. I will also be putting LED lights in the barrels to make them glow blue or orange at night since it will be used after dusk.
Why the independent suspension... because simple is boring:fing32:
Well, the kids loved the cart last night. I painted it up to match the cub. I also added orange LED's to the inside of the barrels to make them glow at night. The suspension was perfect to make the faster rides smooth enough to not hurt the kids. Now, if my cub had suspension i would have been a lot more comfortable. This cart would be better if pulled by a 4 wheeler. I think coilovers, a third barrel, and maybe a rollbar are in order next
Shocks off an atv are exactly what I'll be using. I've got a pair on the workbench right now that's been there for a while without a specific use. I love it when I have everything on hand to make whatever I happen to dream up that day. The roll bar will be 3/4" solid hot rolled. Not as strong as DOM tubing, but it will def work fine.
