I have the original seat off my old 318. The metal pan is still black and not rusty. It has the leaping deer logo on the back. The yellow has turned brown and it 80% missing. The foam is all there but weather beaten.

In Canada new yellow no name seats from local tractor supply go on sale for $99. The price of the TY15740 recover kit is $70 USD which is $95 CAD. About the same price. I don't really care about an embroidered Deere logo.

Its taking up space in my garage. Do I keep it or pitch it?

Keep the pan and edging, toss the cover and foam. Then you can think about the repair kit, then think about fixing, then you can decide either keep or sell it (Craigslist, Ebay or other site).
