I have a Kawasaki FD711D in a Cub Cadet. It is over heating and I noticed a few bubbles in the radiator. Put about 14 lbs. pressure into the radiator resulting in antifreeze coming out the weep hole of the water pump. I'm waiting on parts to rebuild the water pump. My question is: Could the water pump have been sucking air through the weep hole and through the cooling jacket into the radiator?

I did not check the bubbles to see if it was combustion gas because I had the muffler off to look at the water pump.
I did replace one head gasket which was blown. The other one "appears" OK.
