K 181 Kohler

Got an old Kohler K181 8HP on a Gravely I bought.It will only run Wide open,Can't slow it down.I think the Governor might be faulty.I tried to adjust it ,didn't help.I understand you have to go in thru the engine to repair?

Tony58,
Go to the Kohler web site and download the K series service manual. It will hlp you figure what is needed to repair your K181.
