I have a GT245 with hand lever lift. I have found a snow blower for it, but it is for a different model.

The 42 inch snowthrower has 3 versions by serial numbers;

1. 240,245,260,265,285,320
2. 240,245,260,265,285,320,325,345
3. 240,245,260,265,285,320,325,335,345,355D,GX,LX AND GT

Would I be able to use the versions 1 or 2 with the GT245 and getting a different mounting/frame kit?

Or, would it require some really hard fabrications? Anyone done or tried changing this over?

OK, so I found a 42" snow thrower. This is the early version, version 1 listed above. Serial number 100026.

The frame is different, would I have to buy a new frame?

The Front Lift Kit BM18977 is listed as no longer available, is there a new number for this LX/GT with lever lift?

Would I also need the Attaching Parts Kit, part BM19215? This part number is also obsolete, any updated number?

You need to check with Your dealer to get the Number that replaces BM18977 But these Links should Help

Thank you for the links! What about the frame? is it adaptable or does it need to be replaced?

You Might need a different Sub Frame But I believe the adapter Kits circumvent That problem:thThumbsU
