I live in northern Michigan. When I attempt to start tractor after it has been sitting a few days it will only start if I warm it up with my salamander Kerosene heater for 10 minutes or so. I point the heater at the tractor and let it blow warm air on it for 10 minutes. Then it will start right up. I have replaced the fuel pump, added dry gas to the tank and replaced the fuel line flow valve. Battery is new. I do not have this problem in the summertime. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Im assuming u are refereeing to a gt275...
Your Throttle cable is out of adju7stment. Follow the cable to where it attaches to the carb. You'll see a little clip that holds it in position. Loosen that and adjust the cable so the choke OPERATES PROPERLY.
After that it'll be smooth sailing. I have YET to see a GT275 owner who has not had this problem at some point.

One more thing to check........What weight oil are you using. If its straight weight oil that could make it hard to start in the winter also. A multi-grade oil in cold weather is a lot easier on the motor in cold weather.. Just a thought .......Gary

I had my gt275 for over 10 years and never once had a problem starting it.
