This is strictly my opinion. A 445 complete with deck, wiring, hydro, transaxle, all tins (I know most aren't tin anymore), seat is worth $750. Obviously, I'd want to look at it first. Probably won't be able to verify the operation of the hydro, but you take a chance. Then, you can rebuild, buy rebuilt, pay someone to rebuild, or re-power this tractor and have a great machine. 2000 hours might be an expected lifetime for a kawasaki engine. I replaced the plastic cams and put in a new water pump at 1200 hours.

Pretty much sums it up.... if you are into a little work I think you could have a nice machine for less than $1,500 when you are done.

I would say definitely yes, it is worth it. The tractor can likely be fixed at a reasonable price and if not, you could get a lot more than that back in parts.

Definitely worth it...in fact please let me know if you don't get it, I may decide to drive up and get it myself if you don't!
