I think my battery is really low, the dash lights are dim and my starter is spinning slowly. Are these symtoms of a low battery?

It should not have run down in a month, but it's possible. I'd try what D-Dogg said. Throw a charger on it and after it's charged have a load test run on it. Any autoparts store can do that ...
