I just bought a John Deere 170 in immaculate condition for a little lawn mowing and snowblowing project I have. When I got it home and off the trailer I noticed the left front tire to be tipped in on top then I grabbed hold of the tire and the wheel or bearings are sloppy and you can move the tire in and out. What can I do to fix this??? What parts do I need ? Let me know guys Thanks:greendr:

First, pull both front wheels and look at the spindles for wear and alignment. Then look at the wheels themselves and feel the bearings (stick your finger in the inner race hole and turn the bearing) If they feel "gritty" or the inner portion of the bearing has a lot of play, and I suspect they will, press the bearings out of the wheels and replace them. Make sure the new ones have the same inner race dimensions so they fit the axles correctly. If they are greasable types, fine, but you could also replace them with newer, sealed type.
