How the heck do those things break just from rolling down a hill? Anyway the lines and shaft should be similar to others like x485, x700, etc

If that is what happened then the transmission could be damaged inside. Be prepared for it to not function correctly even after you fix the shaft and line. Now would be a good time to drain the fluid and see if there's metal in it.well guess my dad got mad and pulled it back to the farm with the gator...... trans lever popped back engaged. maybe?
for sure, if he has not already. its been sitting for over a year.If that is what happened then the transmission could be damaged inside. Be prepared for it to not function correctly even after you fix the shaft and line. Now would be a good time to drain the fluid and see if there's metal in it.

That's unfortunate. Although, it may have happened in the reverse order. U-joint gave out, took out the lines, and then rolled down the hill. I would try Fulton Mower Salvage, Haldeman Supply, or Andrew's Mowers & Parts. You might find a used shaft (cheaper and will let you see if the trans is okay before you buy a new one), but you will likely have to get a new line, unless you find a whole parts tractor in a junkyard.for sure, if he has not already. its been sitting for over a year.
thanks, I will look into those. i will likely just take the line off and put a new end on at work. I work at a CAT dealer. That's unfortunate. Although, it may have happened in the reverse order.
