Hello all,
Out of no where today my JD L110 will shut down if I get off the seat. It used to be I can put it in N and set the park brake and hop off and it will stay running and now it will not it just shuts down also noticed that when this happened the battery died as well. Would this be the seat switch?
Thank you all.

Likely it's the seat switch doing what it's supposed to do... One of the other safety switches is probably not working.

Was the mower deck engaged? If so that is why. Also if deck engaged it will not start.

Sounds like the brake safety switch, as that would explain both problems. The engine won't start unless it thinks you're pressing the brake pedal, and the engine will die if you don't put the brake on before getting out of the seat.
