I am going to change the transmission fluid and got 6 qts and filter from dealer. I removed the seat/rear fender and confused about location of the drain fill plug. I also have a sight glass tube on the rear and don't know where the level is supposed to be. Also, does it share the rear transaxle housing for lube or does it have a seperate drain/fill? Does the transaxle use a gear lube and not a hydro fluid? Help please. Here is what the rear looks like with the sight glass.

thanks for all the help.

That's it on the rear. It all uses the same system. If I understand correctly you drain then refill until you can see it in the tube, that's it.

See you Monday!

there is a main drain plug on the bottom of the transmission - the plug by the site tube is to fill it after its drained. its a slow fill process - once it stays in site tube run it back and forth and watch the level for a couple of days after use. open the fill plug and let air out - move steering wheel side to side as well. i own a 400 and love it.
