I have a John Deere No.4 log splitter mounted on a 1968 JD 110 Garden tractor. The tractor runs the splitter with a pulley system off the PTO. The splitter has the owners manual and can be used on any 100, 200, 300, or 400 series tractors. I am wanting to sell it and have no idea what its worth...I cannot find any on ebay or anywhere to get a value. It works great! Any help would be great!!

That's quite the run of models it fits. Are you able to mount the pump in different locations to run it on a 300 series vs. your 110? Pictures are almost a must have here, me thinks.

The last splitter sold around me on CL was for a 318, and was listed at $900. No idea if it sold, it was up for quite awhile.

I have seen several sell in PA for $500-$600 and they were for a 318. Yours is likely less desirable since it is set up for the 110.

There is a pulley from the 110 engine that powers the splitter...When putting it on the 300 series, there is a lower pulley that is powered from the PTO. Very easy set up from one to another...It is actually more valuable for the 110 set up as extra mounting brackets are needed to mount it. When all the brackets are mounted to the front of the 110, you simply remove is as you do a plow or blower from the 318 and attach to the 318...Pretty neat set up.
