Looks like you'll have all the power you need for heat and lights. Nice job!
Is that an automotive alternator, or something you got from JD?
Its a new boat alt with a bi directional fan you can get so you can run alt in either direction Delco 10SI
I like your idea. I wish my tractor had a rear output. I have to cram my alternator under the hood.
I thought the Delco 10SI needed to hit 3000 rpms before it started to charge when set-up as a one-wire? Or is this not being setup up that way?

Coming straight off the pump shaft, he ought to be seeing 3,450 RPM. :fing32:
Oh, I didnt realize, I thought it was 2000 rpm for some reason.
Also speed depends on the size of the pulleys on the tractor and the alternator
Rear shaft turns same rpm as the engine.
Now this could become a very useful modification, I look forward to seeing it completed!
Almost done bracket made flange bearing and adapter shaft made.It is a little easyier for me since I am a toolmaker and have all the machine i need to make anything. Will put up pictures of everything Monday nite have all other parts at work. On the bracket I made you will see radius of threaded holes that to adjust timing belt.
Ok snowing in CT waiting.

I missed that you are using a timing belt the first read through. Will you maintain a 1:1 ratio?

Yes I will maintain 1 to 1 ratio, also if it was not for this forum I would never know about the stub shaft running 1 to 1 with the engine. Also I saw the rear tiller for the 318 and saw the pto without the 2000 rpm unit just a pulley so I said HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
This is pretty neat. Looking forward to details and pictures.
