Hi All!
Im new on this forum and I just bought a JD 317 and im planning to restore it a bit so I have some question for you.

first I would like to know if its possible to put the steering collum of the 318 with the steering valve(power steering) does any of you have made it?I know that is possible to put power steering on this tractor with some jd400 parts

and my 317 came with the cozy cab but I have one of the two back glass broken because of the seal so is it possible to have part for this cab and where can I find it(im from Canada)

I have not seen a 318 to 317 power steering swap, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done. Might involve a lot of work though. I don't think the CC's are made anymore, but there must be parts available online. Google it...

Any auto glass shop can make and install new glass in your cab, check your local phone book and call around.

There was a 317 power steering kit. I have only ever seen one come up for sale. A member over at weekendfreedommachines.com offered it about a year ago.

Brinly (of attachment fame) offered the 317 power steering kit back in the day. A couple of the guys over at www.weekendfreedommachines.com have modified the 317 to have power steering, but it's a fair amount of work with quite a bit of custom fabricating.
