JD 316 clutch replacement need help

Today the electric clutch on my 1984 316 self-destructed, as in molten steel and flaming bits. Gonna need a new, used, or rebuilt clutch (I believe). This mower is worth the cost, as it is a very reliable tool which I love. BTW, it's the type with only one wire (+); no separate ground wire. Did not test the coil winding to see if it is salvageable, but the armature is toast. Can I get the armature by itself, or would this be a case of false economy? I was thinking maybe someone would have an old clutch with a shot magnetic coil, from which I could salvage the armature. Per JDParts, I believe these are the p/n's: clutch assy- AM104895; armature- AM100847. I read in other threads about two brands- Warner and Orga. Could you folks send me in the right direction please?

Yours is most likely Orga,if the rotor is shot most likely the field winding coil is too.The rotor probably seized on the crank and just kept going toward the coil and eventually contacted the coil,eBay usually has good coils and rotors but assure the rotor is free to move in and out onto the crank.
