I was just using my JD 3010 when all of a sudden it sputtered briefly and died like it was out of diesel. The tank was still half full, and while it cranks smoothly it does not turn over - not even close. Any ideas why this happened and the best way to solve this problem and get it going again? Should I try and pull it to get it going? I cracked the injectors and diesel came out as well. Thx all.

Loosen the 2 timing window screws on inj pump,pry rubber gasket loose if stuck and try to start engine. If engine starts fuel return line fitting at pump has it's check valve plugged not allowing excess fuel to return to fuel tank.
