jd 300 dieing issue
Hello all.
I have a 300 with the 16hp kohler. It has started to die while in use just randomly. The ammeter will start bouncing and then it will just die as if the key was shut off. IF you leave the key on after it dies every few seconds the ammeter will bounce and something clicks. it sounds like the circuit breaker is resetting. it dies whether the decks engaged or not.. After it dies after a second it will restart and run fine for a short period and do the same thing again. This seems to have to started after I hit a stump with the deck while I was mowing and killed the engine. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or if it is just a coincidence.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
