I have a JD 240 and want to replace the reflectors with real flashers. Would I wire them right to the battery or where would I wire them???:thanku:

If you wire direct to to the battery you will need to install a switch to turn on and off. If you connect the lights wire to a wire from the ignition switch which is hot in the run postion you would not need the additional switch. Next question is how much current will these lights draw? If it high then option 2 should have a relay to switch power on/off from the switch. Option 1 just needs a switch that can handle the current.

Don't forget a fuse in that wire. Lots of ways for a wire to get shorted. There are also LED solutions that are bright and don't require heavy duty switches.

thanks I am just planning to get a switch and 12volt lights and something to make them flash.
