I found this forum after adopting a John Deere riding mower from my brother-in-law. I'm embfairly competent at diagnosing and fixing machines, but there are some things that I can't figure out, and thus far, I've used this site and its postings to figure everything out, up till now. I will soon be posting on the peerless transmission, as that is my next roadblock, then followed by the deck. Weird though, the deck spindles and pulleys are all in perfect working order, so my brother-in -law did a lot right for this mower, but the deck is rusted through.
Anyway, I'm a proud new member of MTF. I'm embarrassed to say, I like tractors now and I will soon be adding to my herd. I'm only embarrassed because I really haven't good place to keep them, escept under the pavilion in my back yard. My wife already thinks I have too many yard ornaments.
