I recently bought an Pacer 18"" engine on ebay. It turns over, has spark and all in all in pretty good shape. I know I can get it up and running but need info on things like:
-Compression ratio
-Oil-fuel mixing ratio
-Plug type and gap
-Torque specs
-location of points (if there are any)
and any other info you may have. If I could get a hold of a copy of the service manual that would help tremendously.

Thanks in advance.

This engine is similar to the engine on my Jacobsen Lawn Prince, I mix 40:1 with 93octane and Echo Power Blend Oil.

I set my points to .020"
I set my plug to 0.030"

My points were under the flywheel, under a cover.

Thanks so much. This does help a lot. I am tearing into it now.

These engines were designed to run 16:1
Hope this reply isn't too late...

Good luck trying to find a manual... The Lawn Queen is about as close as you can easily find nowdays...

By the way, I have owned one for many years (in case you were wondering) I am currently rebuilding the starter (which does differ from the Lawn Queen).

... just fyi, this is a 9 year old thread, and DaninWaxhaw hasn't logged into the site since 2015...
I know, just figured I'd expand on what it has.
