Way to take care of your buddy, Matt! Looks like you did alright in the trade as well.
Thanks Drake. Jon has been trying to get that Dynamark for a few months so I figured I would get it for him. I have been trying to get a Homelite for a while so I jumped at the chance to get one and I needed a tiller. The truck was just in the way and I was not going to do any thing with it.Way to take care of your buddy, Matt! Looks like you did alright in the trade as well.
Its no telling what it is Hugh. The only tag on it says Homelite Textron division. It came with a spare engine so I might be able to do something with it. Its going to be a fun little tractor. That Homelite is sweet! I think its a Gilson tractor
Challenge accepted. Glad I made your Christmas. I figured I should take pictures because that is most likely the only time that Dynamark will be over here. I will see what I can do Monday. Is it cheating if I use the spare engine that came with the Homelite?Seriously Dude...you made my Christmas. Thanks so much.
I think I kinda got something in mind for you next year...just wonder if I can get it. lol.
Im lucky you took pictures. I thought the seat was black when I picked it up. Ill leave it on the truck for now. Might mess with it on Christmas day, but on monday when everyone comes over for the traditional "show off your gifts" get together we'll unload it.
Now the question is...who'll get theirs running first?![]()
If you run the serial number in google or PM sergeant you will find out lolIts no telling what it is Hugh. The only tag on it says Homelite Textron division. It came with a spare engine so I might be able to do something with it. Its going to be a fun little tractor.
I did some research on simpletractors.com and it is a Allis Chalmers Homesteader 7. Based on the tag it just told me that its a Homelite which I already knew. My moma has claimed the tractor as hers so I guess I have to get it running. If you run the serial number in google or PM sergeant you will find out lol
Well I will let every one know what happens tomorrow when I try to get this thing running. So what does the winner get?Nope, not cheating at all. Thats what its there for.![]()
You are correct Joe.The Homelite was built by Simplicity, who also built Allis Chalmers. The deck is a dead give-away, Simplicity was the only one I ever knew of who had the discharge on that side.
Joe
Thanks U.S.A. I think I did well. We got to get the tiller running today. It runs good but all the control cables need to be replaced. The Homelite is going to need a good bit of work before it runs.Nice tractors, I think you made a good deal too! :fing32:
its a 94'. It was great on gas but I just did not feel like putting a 3rd engine in it. It was the 2.2 4 banger with a 5 speed. I loved that truck for many years but it was just nickel and dimeing me to death. I will get another one though.man is that a 96', i have a 96 4 cylinder 5 speed 2wd as my daily driver/tractor getter and i love my little truck great on gas
Bragging rights for now. :trink39:Well I will let every one know what happens tomorrow when I try to get this thing running. So what does the winner get?
Well I got the tiller to run so that counts for something. I have to replace all the cables on it though. The Homelite needs lots of work so it will be a while before it runs.Bragging rights for now. :trink39:
I aint gonna lie, I got ancy and went out to the truck with a rope. pulled it once with the choke and it fired right up! There is life to be had!
It promptly died though...so its still anyones game.
The PO (you know who Im talking about) removed a bracket thats supposed to hold the gas tank. The tank is set up like your 990. Sitting lengthways. Gonna have to build a bracket for it. Already have the measurements and the piece of steel. :fing32:
Any signs of life on the homelite yet?
