I'm getting ready to paint a Toro Super Recycler. I'm not doing a resto here, just want it to look nice for a friend before I give it to him. A lot of the paint has flaked off. I'm going to wire brush it, I do not intend to remove all of the paint. What would match up well with the factory paint? Also, any suggestons would be helpful, I have not painted a deck before. Thanks.

New holland red is a perfect match. I'm on my phone right now and can't search very easy but I know I posted what the number was a while ago.

If u can't find it I will see if I have any left. But I got it from my local dealer

There is a "New" Toro Red and an "Old" Toro Red. Does anyone have a match for the old red?

There is a "New" Toro Red and an "Old" Toro Red. Does anyone have a match for the old red?

From what I understand from reading this page is Old Toro Red is an Apple Red.

I have used Rust-o-leum Sunrise Red with very good results. I painted to match the "new" toro red.

Try a small spot to see how it looks before doing a lot of spraying.

POR-15 makes an engine enamal called "Chevrolet Red" thats almost a dead ringer for Toro's apple red and is extremely durable stuff. Its almost like a thin Teflon coating so doesn't chip like powdercoating.

The thing is we dont want to pay toro prices for paint. Same reason why there are aftermarket parts companies.
