I noticed my deck was shaking and I lifted the mower up and saw it was cracked by every bolt hole. A local mower parts store wants 70 for the spindle, I saw several on feebay for much cheaper.

You didn't say what model Craftsman you have. But I buy oregon brand replacement spindels from Tulsa engine warehouse for mine.

The number on the engine is 42e707, the model of the mower is 917270810

Yeah, they have one no brand spindle that comes with mounting molts for $15 and change. But what brand is it. It's not an Oregon brand spindle. Then ASC has the Oregon spindle for $15 and change. That would be fine if they sold the mounting bolts. That's why I don't like to deal with EBAY for mower parts.

Tew is a few bucks Higher but they ship alot quicker than ASC does. 8.95 shipping no mater how much you buy the last time I checked.

I usually place a larger order from them. A couple extra air filters and fuel filters. They are dirt cheap on replacement beareings for those spindle to.

Anytime you replace a spindle you should use new self tapping bolts.
