Hi I'm Danny, I've been interested in working on my own tractors since I bought my first new one in 1998 and I still have it. I repowered it from the old Kohler cv14s to a 25HP BriggsV Twin. I am currently bringing back to life a 2005 Craftsman DGT 6000 with a Kohler 26HP V Twin Command. I just completely rebuilt it paying VERY close attention to the timing marks before buttoning it up, and it is still kicking back or slightly spraying out of the carb. I read somewhere about a certain way of putting the lifters back in making sure they are leaked down? I soaked them in oil until I installed them. Any ideas from you ol pros to this rookie? Your time is greatly appreciated! Thank you
