I have a 1972 Ford 4000 with the 3 cylinder diesel and a Bush Hog front loader. She had an electrical short last year that melted the battery, destroyed the regulator, instrument panel, all electrical, and all fuel lines. I've re-primed where the paint burned and started to allow rust, replaced all the lines, and ran a toggle switch straight from battery to starter for now. I have a new panel and an alternator converter kit for my next fixes.
