Im an SC native but currently live in Southwest GA I am 28 years old and very handy. I found this website a couple weeks ago and its been a great tool aiding me in my search for an older model garden tractor. Didnt want to spend a ton of money on some of the newer stuff that doesnt last. After hours of research and great reviews found on MTF, I ended up purchasing a Craftsman GT6000 as my first ever garden tractor/ lawn mower period. Its about a 1992 model I think. Everything still works on it and the guy even had the original owners manual. I look forward to being a part of this great forum.

Thanks Guys!!! The first one I looked at was a 1967 JD and then a JD 318. Was really interested in the 318 but the guy was greedy. He posted it for $500, then he reposted it for $1200. The 318 would have been neat to have since it has hydraulics. Just didnt think I would ever use it though.

I am 28 myself. I have 5 garden tractors. It's an addiction my wife loves (sarcasm). I started out with a 1992 Yard Pro 18hp with a sleeve hitch. I had a plow, cultivator and box blade. Now... I have 8 riders and the youngest is 35 years old.
