Hello everyone, it's my first post on MTF, actually it's my first post.....period.
I'm a rookie in the world of forums, My name is Patrick Guay I'm 44, I live in St-Jerome, Quebec, Canada, a small town north of Montreal, I have a wife, 2 chidren 10 and 6, I'm the owner of an HVAC company and I have 2 tractors, a 2007 John Deere X300, 42 edge mower, mulch kit, 7 bushel bagger, 10 cu ft poly cart and my heritage a 50's era GIBSON small industrial tractor with a lever as a steering wheel and a 20 hp industrial Wisconsin engine that 's been working since last year but now I have and electrical problem and not a lot of spare time so it hasn't started in over a year now.
Anyway that's a secondary concern, I'll find the time to repair it sometime, it was the pride and joy of my late father(the first time he let me drive it I was 19) and the only real thing I kept to remind me of him after he passed away in 2003.
I have about ¾ acre to mow and 2 driveways 150 x 30 and 80 x 20 to blow.
Actually I've been payind to have the snow remove ($ 650 each year) and the results are allways disapointing and I allways have a lot of snow to remove myself anyway since I have a lot of alleyways and stuff (I have a small 24 inch Ariens 2 stage snowblower for the small stuff).
Last year after I had to remove the drifts myself because the company wasn't on time as usual, I said to myself enough is enough, next year I'll be doing the snow removal MY way.
So I've been juggling with a couple of scenarios (an ATV with a snowblower or just a snowblower on my X300) and I made my choice, it's going to be a snowblower on my X300.
What do you specialist think about it ???

Anyway I'll make another post for the more specific questions.

I'm realy glad to have found you guys.

PS : stladrill, you are my new God !!!

Hi there,
I'm guessing you didn't get a chance to try your new blower since it's a 2010, but what about the 42'' you had before ?

Because I'm wondering if Bercomac makes a better Blower then JD
