I have a 20 year old Imgersol RM 48 mower deck where the tension pulley retention spring has worn the L bracket to the point the spring tension is too weak to hold the belt on the pulleys. I do not have access to a welder . Looking for suggestions how to repair this elongation . I was thinking about using two washer sandwich using JB Weld . Like I say I don’t have a welder. Right now using 3-4 heavy duty zip ties to hold tension on the belt tensioner . Thanks

Well, "repair" is welding/brazing that part up, or replacing it.

If you are handy with an angle grinder and can get a piece of steel wider and deeper than that groove, you could grind/file the metal to fit into that groove, and perhaps use JB weld to it in place, then the spring would press against that new chunk of steel.
