I need points for my 1050. Are there still dealers that sell parts for Bolens, or do I just go to a mower shop with the engine number? Can someone tell me the part number for the points?

The part number is YQ-12,it's available online here,http://www.continentalengines.com/ce_online_store/ce_store_wisconsinparts.asp,they are near the bottom of the page.I believe they are also available from NAPA auto parts,I'm not sure if the part number is the same or not.

Thanks for the info, bstrucker. I checked out the continental engines web site. WOW...I had no idea a set of points could cost that much! Maybe I'll see what Napa has to offer.

hey bill,you can also use a old style dodge power wagon points and condenser you will have to modify a bit pt #scs753sb for points and al869sb condenser like mid 60s model i just put some on my 1050 it costs about $12 for both.
