Hey guys, new here, I recently purchased a John Deere 322 with a 47 snowblower and cab.
One of the ignition coil (cylinder 3) is bad, no spark and secondary coil resistance is out of specs, measure 4k and should be 10.8—16.2 K-ohms. I ordered a new ignition coil AM876075 from our local distributor and should get it tomorrow.

My question is, would an ignition coil AM120732 made for John Deere 2653 GAS/ 260 / 265 /285 / 320 /425 /445 /455 / F911 / F725/ F911/ GX345/ LX178 / LX188 / LX279 / Gator 6x4 work on my 322? It seems to be the same size as the AM876075 with similar coil resistances, the only difference is that the connection tab are on the button instead of the top where the spark plug cable is.

I can find the AM120732 substitute very cheap on Amazon reason why I'm asking in case other coils fails in the future...

Did anyone tried this substitute on their 322?

See pics below...

Cheers

Nope, never tried one on any of mine. JD definitely doesn't list that part number for the 322 though, but if resistance on both primary and secondary windings are the same it might be worth it to test one if its that much cheaper.
I just ordered 3 from Amazon.ca at only $9.69 CAD ea on special ($29 bucks for all 3) to try.
Will confirm if they work and will keep as spares whenever another of the original ones fails for emergency repair.

Cheers
Dan
