Can someone tell me about this? $300.00 too much?

I know nothing about the Toro models so every time this comes up I go looking for info. This time I am recording what I find so I don't have to do it again.
So far have found 23 models 1967-71
They used B&S, Tecumseh and Kohler engines
Recoil and electric start
Both vertical crankshaft and horizontal
7, 8, 10 and 12hp
3-speed and 4-speed Peerless gear transmissions and Eaton 6 hydro

If I remember correctly Toro purchased the Springfield line and these are a continuation of that product.

Here is a picture of mine, it has a 8hp kohler in it...this is the same machine just with a different company name. The price is not too bad if it runs and drives without issues.
