Working on my 10552 electric start. It needed the new plastic armature on the starter. I replaced that and it worked. My new problem is this, I stopped to move an item. Tried the electric start and nothing. No clicks or any sound. I looked at the part I just replaced. Looked good. Checked all fuses and plugs. All good. Checked battery, 13.4 volts there. Appears to nkot be getting any juice to the starter. Manual mentions checking the switch with a meter and a capaciter by the kill switch. Can someone help me? I have a craftsman multimeter, but have no idea on how to check the switch, capaciter and starter motor.

Got it figured out, ended up not grounding enough on the bail handle to let the electric start go but just enough to let the motor run. Tied a knot in the steel cable to tighten it up (looks like someone put the wrong cable on it).

I also ran out and bought me a new Stihl FS 110 trimmer to replace a 15 yr old FS 44. I may not need a Lan Boy. This thing is the cat's azz!!
