I hate winter

I don't know about you but I hate winter. It's not so much the cold as it is the snow. Really there is nothing I like about it. I don't like seeing it. I don't like hearing about it. I don't like driving in it. I don't like walking in it. Well you get the picture-I HATE SNOW!!! :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::thSick::Stop::Disgus::mad::1336::maddd:

But then I got to use the X324 and all the winter gear. What a blast!!! :drunkie::dancingpa:bannana::dancingpa:fest30: It was great. Is it normal to ride around with a stupid grin on your face while clearing snow? I looked up and noticed the neighbors were out and watching me (just kept smiling and waved, think I might be getting requests soon) What used to take 2 to 3 hours with the Ariens ST824 took just a half hour with the X324 and I really had fun doing it. Everything worked great, after a minute or so you don't even notice the cab. The AWS is awesome for maneuvering around the MotorHome and cars. The blower and all controls worked great. I had no tire spin even in the deep stuff at the end of the driveway. So now I have one thing I like about winter and I sit waiting for deep snow.

Wow, wasn't sure where this thread was headed until you mentioned the X324. Yes, you may even find yourself clearing your yard just to take video of how good your snowblower works (some people just go overboard!) Glad that you now have a bright spot in your (not to be named) season!
Have fun with it. Thats what these tractors are all about using and enjoying them. slkpk

Thanks,
:sorry1: after rereading it the title was a little misleading

Yeah, and then they clear thier yard every storm and then say they do it for their dogs....sheesh...some people... I plead no contest to the above charges.

Aahhh! Another poop trail guy! :ROF
Good to hear that your X324 helps to provide some needed fun this time of year.

Lol...Guilty of being the poop trail guy myself! Made a maze for them one year!

To the OP...yeah, I get the neighbors looks too. They just shake their head, smile and wave like I'm crazy or something. I don't mind because I just do the same to them when they're outside in a snowstorm for an hour trying to shovel the end of the driveway to get the car out. crazy tractor-less people.....

Yup me to, have to clear an area for the dogs when the snow is above 4 inches.

Hi Katt,
The snow last year is the reason I got the X324.
Todd

Hi canuckian,
Let's see, back when I got the L110 all the neighbors were pushing lawn mowers and by the next summer they all had lawn tractors (3 of them green and yellow). I wonder if next winter I'll see more blowers and cabs maybe even some new JD X series to put them on.

I do the perimeter around the inside of the fence, about a 1000sf by the deck and sometimes even a maze area. Yes we are crazy for our dogs.
Todd
Yes, the tractor makes all the difference. It's not like a John Deere with a snowblower or blade allows one to conquer nature - we all know nature can lash out with a fury that can overwhelm even the best equipment. But good equipment gets you out of the house and gives you the idea that you can at least do something about it and not kill yourself trying.

Although my previous walk-behind blower was better than shoveling, it was also exhausting and a PiTA. We got a bit over an inch Friday which I cleaned up when I got home. Yesterday I went to the gym to work out and then came home to get the tractor out to clean up the curb that I skipped the night before. Using the tractor was my cool-down from my work out. Never would have happened with the walk-behind. Using it was a work out.

Glad you found the joy in winter. I'm hoping we get a lot more snow this season too.

Kind of the same with 2 guys on my street....they didn't get green and yellow but they were the 2 that commented that having a lawn tractor for my lot size was overkill....their lots are the same size as mine! Lol I can imagine what they'll say when the new x748 shows up in a couple weeks! :ROF

Gezzz, just a X324.................LOL

Get a tractor in the X700 series and you think you died and went to heaven.
(Go ahead, ask me how I know)

No choking, direct shaft drive, much heavier, and you can get one in AWS and/or 4WD.

Life is good!

Cheers!
