I finally got a Lawn-Boy Silver Series with the 4-cycle Tecumseh engine! It's self-propelled too. It doesn't have spark though. Also, I got a NEW mulching blade with it. Will this be interchangable with a 2-cycle Lawn-Boy as well?

Got it all for $15 too!

It is a model 10360 with a 5 HP Tecumseh. It is self-propelled and has a steel deck. This mower is in mint shape! It turns out it ran, but would not start later. So, I investigated and found that the coil is bad. So, I will try to find one of those. I got to use this mower for a couple seconds earlier this morning. The engine ran awesome and the self-propel works awesome! Believe it or not, this is now my most favorite mower of all my collection! No, I'm not kidding! Pictures soon.

You won't have to worry about surging like the duraforce. I have three duraforce that surge and after carb cleaning, etc.. still surging. I had a 10313 4 cycle that leaked oil and had two broken cables. I was fortunate to find one for $15 that had the two cables I needed and a motor that didn't leak. I made a great mower out of the two. I do love the power of the duraforce though. It can cut through stuff the Tecumseh would struggle with.

Congratulations on getting this and the 10515. The 10515 has a better engine, deck and tranny. So why do you like the 10360 more? Is it because
it's your latest?:sidelaugh
The 10515 is being traded for some other things. This is my favorite because I know and some of you may know that 4-cycles can outlive 2-cycles. I like it because of the engine, 1 speed tranny, deck, and the whole setup.

Well no one will say it but I will. Do you realy believe the Tecumseh 4 cycle engine they put on those will out live ANY 2 cycle? If you like it that fine, but I would say that engine is bottom of the barrel.:thSick:

Better hope the oil slinger doesn't snap off too. Thats how a lot of these get blown up. It breaks off and then the crankcase gets ventilated. Those modern Tec's are particularly nice to work on either. The carb is a sorry piece of work too. I ran one for half a season, it was an okay mower. Maybe it would last 10-15 years but that would be the exception to the rule.

Well Forest, I do believe that it will outlive SOME 2-cycles. Like a V that has been straight gased..... And this engine ISN'T at the bottom of the barrel. That is where the Dura Force's belong and the cheapo Briggs made these days belong. It is my opinion on these mowers and that's that. Don't get me wrong, I do not hate 2-cycle's. I love them, best machines ever, but in my opinion my Tecumseh is up there with them.

I think I took your post rudely towards my mower, so I'm sorry if my post has the same feeling. Again, I'm not a 2-cycle hater.
