I just finished getting it together this morning & tried it out. I'm pretty happy with it.

My cultivator before:

Cultivator with the new addition:

My wife made a video of me hilling my potatoes with it. I've never uploaded a video before, but tonight when I have more time I'll give it a try.

They are easily adjustable. I figured that I'm really late getting the potatoes hilled, so I slid the disc's all the way out on the 36" bar. I played around with the angle of the disc's until I settled on 55* to move the dirt fairly close to the plants. The disc's are 18 1/2" apart at their closest point.

Here's a straight on view from the back:

Where did you get the hillers they look like really nice ones?
I got the hilling disc's from Agri-Supply. These are the 14" size.

Hey buddy, I do my potatoes in the compost pile, so I don't know much about really "growing" them.
What exactly is "Hilling", and how do you do it?

Hilling is piling more dirt on top of the base of the plant.. you get more tubers out of each plant if you hill em every couple weeks.

Looks like it will pile it up nice! I have factory sears hillers for my Suburban's cultivator and they really only hill it up 4 inches. yours seems much better!

By "Bedding Attachment" I mean the cross bar, two coulters, and related hardware. I'm not sure where to buy those all by themselves like that. Any ideas?

kcguy try http://www.agrisupply.com/ for the coulters. They have a catalog they'll send you. You'd probably have to build the cross bar to fit your cultivator. Does your 318 have a hitch on it?
trucker your hiller is pretty slick.

CP7, yes it does. It's a category 0/1 combo from Ruegg. I just bought a cultivator and plan to retrofit it with a hiller and a furrower. See pics...
