I am staying (off topic)

Sorry, this is just off topic.

I said I was leaving because of a certain post that was made. I took it the wrong way and have saw that it was from more of a comic view point. So, I will stay.

Now, for the speach.....:fing20:

I am into the Lawn-Boy hobby, still, I never would leave it totally. I have a Toro Super Recycler, which is my best mower. I need to have patience in this hobby, as you need it. I am still selling most of my Lawn-Boy's off to maby buy a nice Toro Proline and maby some nice F engined Lawn-Boy's. I have the issue of changing my mind. But I have always liked red tractors (IH or course) and Chevy trucks!:thThumbsU But, anyways, this hobby is frustrating. I need to slow down, take my time, and get things done right. I need to stop changing my mind like underwear. That is the reason for my frustration in this hobby. I guess that shows the varieties of all the Lawn-Boy's out there! They all come with their problems, but are worth while when fixed! I love this hobby. It is a hobby and a business.

That's that and I am staying. I just hope no one will reject me now and that I will still have many friends on here.

Thanks,
Here to stay,

Colin (timberwolf1224)

Glad your staying Colin. Now one thing you need to remember is there are literally millions of Lawnboys floating around out there and over time you will find them even when your not looking. The best mowers come to me when I'm least expecting it, kinda like members of the opposite sex (or same depending on your preference) (sorry, you never know) But anyway you know what I mean.

I've been noticing an increase in Duraforce powered machines at our mower repair shops in town, I suspect one of these days I'll try one out again for the fun of it but only because it will most likely be free.

Now the prolines are a different story, Most of these machines were sold to contractors who worked them to the core and by the time those guys are done with them they are pretty darn tired and ugly. But, if your like me.... you can polish a turd..

Keep on smiling.....It'll happen.

Colin,

Most of us have trouble remembering when we were your age. Our minds full of energy and thoughts, each one taking us in different directions and each different direction opening up a whole new world of things to try and do. Changing your mind is part of life. Try to slow down and you'll make less mistakes and not have to redo things as often. But, I guess, those mistakes are life's best teachers, although sometimes expensive ones. Keep working on your hobbies, life will fill your spare time with things that will take away from your ability to pursue those same hobbies and you will have to narrow them down later. For now, Godspeed and have fun.

Expensive......I'll tell you a little story about teenage expensive lessons...(since were offtopic anyway)
My fifteen year old just recieved this months cell phone bill for $395! I hope the lifeguard job pays well!!
Had that been a $395 lawnmower mistake I could better accept it, but with text messaging.......I don't get it:banghead3 Aghhhhhhh!

To maintain the off-topic stautus of this thread...

What is with texting??!? In my opinion, more than one text and/or reply from the same person necessitates a call. Using texts like an instant messenger is just stupid. Just call the person!
The only purpose this can have is in a situation where you're in a very noisy environment, or if someone is hearing impaired. The latter is probably a godsend for the deaf. Otherwise these TTY and Relay systems are a joke at best.

Yup, If I actually needed a cell phone, I would get one, but I refuse to have one. I sure wouldn't want to get one only to run up a bill like that!

I enjoy it, I don't do it every second of the day, like most other kids my age do.....

Anyways, that's the Irish Brigade, who fought for the Union (North) in the American Civil War. My other big hobby is having alot of interest in the American Civil War. I am quite informational on it as well.

:ditto:

The only place I find texting to be of value is when I need to get a message across to someone I know is in a place where they can't hold a signal for a conversation. Or, just need to send a quick, under 10 word message.

Good God life is too fast and complicated. I have, at times, 5 computers, an X-box and a Wii logged on to my home network at the same time.

GPs's, DVD's, cell phones, MP3 players, microwaves, satellite dishes, the internet and a host of other things that "make our lives easier". Whew, sometimes I turn off my cell phone and pager and walk into the back yard, away from the land-line phone and email and just relax amongst the trees. What have we done.............?

I like the good old days and that is what the two cycle Lawn-Boys remind me of.
Hi TW,
Im glad that your staying.

If you make an appointment be sure to keep it, but the thing to remember is to never be in too much of a hurry with anything. I know this is easier said than done but at least try.

If your Lawnboy hobby is like mine, you have made more than you have lost. You have also learned more about two cycle engines than most.

Best wishes,
Bob
